The second last day of Summer provided ideal scoring conditions for today’s first round of the 2017 Cranbourne Senior Amateur.
With the final round of the Club Championships at Cranbourne played yesterday, the players were greeted by a tough but perfectly manicured course this afternoon, the speedy greens proving quite the challenge for many.
Kym Olsen (The National) continued his good form, carding the best round of the day with a 74, two over par par. Kym’s round included 2 birdies, one on each side and 4 bogeys.
Only one shot behind Olsen is a two-way tie, with The National-Long Island’s Kim Johnson and Commonwealth’s David Taylor who are ready to make a move tomorrow.
With tomorrow’s weather predicted to be similar to today, players will set out early in the morning via a multi-tee start at 8am.
